David Kneale - Chief executive officer

David joined the Boots Group in the UK in 1976. He held a variety of positions in Finance, Buying and Marketing before becoming General Manager of Boots The Chemists Personal Care division in 1989 and of the Beauty and Personal Care division in 1992. He was appointed Director of Merchandise and Marketing for Boots the Chemists in 1995 and then became Managing Director of Boots International Retail Development in 1997. He left Boots to become a director of the HMV Group and Managing Director of Waterstone’s, the UK’s leading specialist book chain in 1999. He rejoined Boots as Director of Trading in 2002 and was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in 2003. He joined Clicks Group Limited in January 2006.
Michael Harvey - Clicks Managing Director

Strategic Retail Management (UCT), Executive Development Programme (USB), Advanced Management Programme (INSEAD). Michael joined Clicks as a management trainee in 1989, later managing stores and assuming responsibility for regional operations in the Gauteng area and over time in the Eastern and Western Cape. He was appointed marketing director of Clicks in 2000 and the following year moved to Discom where he was appointed brand leader in 2002. Michael was appointed head of retail for Clicks Group Limited in June 2004 and managing director for the combined Clicks and pharmacy operations in February 2005.
Keith Warburton - Chief financial officer

B Com, CA (SA) After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1985, Keith gained experience in corporate finance and financial management before being appointed financial director of Metro Cash and Carry in 1990. He was later appointed financial director and deputy managing director of Score Supermarkets. In 1997 Keith was appointed financial director of Truworths and two years later joined Homechoice Holdings as chief operating officer. He left the company in 2001 to establish his own business consultancy. He joined Clicks as chief financial officer in September 2005.
Martin Rosen - Independent non-executive director

Martin spent 33 years with Pick ‘n Pay. He served as group marketing director on the board of Pick ‘n Pay stores Ltd. and later as managing director of Pick ‘n Pay group enterprises. He has won a number of awards, among them the 1990 FOYSA award, where he was chosen as one of the four outstanding achievers of the year by the SA Junior Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCI) and the 1991 TOYP Award by the Junior Chamber International where he was chosen as one of ten outstanding young persons of the world. He started his own strategic marketing consultancy in 2004
Fatima Abrahams - Independent Non-executive Director

Prof Abrahams is an academic, experienced company director and a registered industrial psychologist. She has lectured in the department of industrial psychology at UWC since 1986 and is currently senior professor, having also served as dean of the faculty of economic and management sciences. Prof Abrahams is chairperson of TSIBA Education, a non-profit private higher educational institution, and is a non-executive director of the Foschini Group and the Lewis Group. Prof Abrahams holds B Econ Hons (cum laude), M Com and D Com degrees in industrial psychology.
Bertina Engelbrecht - Group Human Resources Director

An experienced human resources professional, Bertina joined New Clicks in July 2006 as group human resources director. She was previously general manager for Shell SA Energy and regional human resources manager for Shell Oil Products Africa. Prior to this Bertina was director of organisational effectiveness at Sea Harvest, managed her own consultancy practice and spent eight years with Transnet. An admitted attorney, Bertina holds B Proc and LL M degrees.
Fatima Jakoet - Independent Non-executive Director

Fatima lectured in financial accounting at UWC before spending a decade with the Eskom Group in positions from finance to investments and general manager: telecommunications. After working in general management positions at Denel she left the corporate environment to concentrate on investment opportunities and director responsibilities. Fatima is a non-executive director of the SA Reserve Bank, SA Mint Company, SA Bank Note Company, Metropolitan Holdings, Metropolitan Health Group, Impala Platinum, SAB&T Ubuntu, MTN West and Central Africa and Qualsa Healthcare (chairperson). Fatima is a chartered accountant, holds a B Sc, certificate in the theory of accounting and a higher certificate in financial markets and instruments (cum laude).
John Bester - Independent Non-executive Director

John Bester was appointed to the New Clicks Holdings Board on 22 September 2008.
John was a partner at Ernst & Young for 10 years where he was responsible for a number of prestigious clients including BP S.A. Ltd, Southern Life, and Western Province Rugby Football Union among others. His experience in commerce and industry includes serving as the Financial Manager of Toyota Marketing South Africa, Financial Director of Warner Lambert South Africa, Financial Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Norwich Holdings Ltd Group of Companies and as Director of all the Norwich Subsidiary companies, Chief Financial Executive of Financial Services and International Companies at Fedsure.
John is currently the Financial Director of Personal Trust International Limited and also serves as Chairman of the Board of Barnard Jacobs Mellet Ltd as independent non-executive director and is an independent non-executive director of Western Province Rugby (Pty) Ltd.
